Sirai, the 2025 Tamil film starring actor Vikram Prabhu in the lead role, is gearing up for OTT release this week. As reported by us earlier, ZEE5 will release the film on January 23 and you can stream the film via OTTplay Premium as well. Notably, Sirai was the only Tamil film that made an impact at the box office in December 2025. Here is how much the film made, ahead of its OTT premiere.
Sirai OTT release: How much did Vikram Prabhu film mint at box office?
Sirai is a recently released Tamil film which had won critical acclaim from reviewers and audience. Starring Vikram Prabhu in the lead role, along with LK Akshay Kumar and Anishma Anilkumar in prominent roles, Sirai is a crime drama based on true events.
As per Sacnilk, the film has made Rs 29.65 crore worldwide. It is to be noted that Sirai was the only Tamil film in December 2025 that provided respite to theatres, given no notable releases had come during that month. Sirai, with its good word of mouth and content, had run successfully in big screens. According to multiple reports, Sirai's budget was Rs 3-5 crore, and considering this, the film has turned out to be a successful commercial venture to the makers, making around 10 times more than its budget.

Sirai’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by ZEE5. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium can also watch the film from January 23 onwards. Directed by debutant Suresh Rajakumari, the film is written by director Tamizh.
A police procedural drama, Sirai is about a cop who has to escort a young murder accused man Abdul to the court for hearing. The film details the escort service of the police department, the law, and how certain individuals are looked through a different lens. Sirai was shot by Madhesh Manickam and edited by Philomin Raj.
