After a successful debut on ZEE5, Manoj Bajpayee's drama Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai will have limited theatrical distribution. In this film, the actor plays a zealous attorney defending a godman accused of raping a minor.

The film, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and based on real events, premiered on ZEE5 on May 23. On Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, Manoj told the Indian Express that the filmmakers are working to bring the critically acclaimed film Hai to theatres after hearing from fans that they want to see it.

The actor, speaking to the website, has confirmed that Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai will receive a symbolic theatrical release to meet the demand. At first, it was just me against Zee Studios, its CEO Shariq, Vinod Bhanushali, and the rest of the crew. One should see this at a movie theatre.

They are still debating who was right and who was wrong; that's a very funny one. Due to overwhelming popular interest, however, Zee Studio and Vinod are currently discussing potential theatrical release dates. At the very least symbolically, to accommodate the wishes of the spectators. He then said, "Let's see where this goes."

In one of the strongest scenes, nobody was willing to defend the matter honestly because of how divisive it was—it involved the country's most prominent godman. P.C. Solanki immediately agrees to take on a case that would be bad for most lawyers' reputations. His sole request was that the victim's loved ones never stop being themselves and telling the truth. As long as this one requirement is met, Solanki will battle for the truth, no matter how difficult it is.

The screenplay by Deepak Kingrani follows a regular attorney as he sets out to take on a powerful godman accused of sexually molesting a kid. Asaram Bapu, a self-proclaimed godman serving a life sentence for a similar crime, had served legal notice on the filmmakers.
