Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is undoubtedly Manoj Bajpayee's one of the best projects. The film, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki is a courtroom drama that stars Manoj as Advocate PC Solanki. The film, not only won multiple awards but was making headlines for a very long time for its gripping storyline, outstanding performance by the entire cast, and its emotional but powerful courtroom sequences. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about how it is his daughter Ava's favorite film too.
Manoj Bajpayee shares his daughter's reaction to Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bajpayee revealed that his daughter has watched Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai thrice and calls it his father's best film. He said, “Meri beti 13 saal ki hai. Aur wo 3 baar Bandaa dekh chuki hai. Kal jab wo hostel se aayi thi toh wo keh rahi thi ki ‘Aapki sabse jyada achi film mujhe Bandaa hi lagti hai.’ (My daughter is 13 years old, and she has watched Bandaa three times. When she returned from the hostel yesterday, she said, 'I think Bandaa is your best film'). It says so much,” he said.
It is to be noted that the film was Apoorv Singh Karki's debut film. The film is inspired by the actual events of Advocate PC Solanki, who fought standalone for five long years in a regular court so that he could get justice for a minor from a powerful man. The film also showcases the struggles and threats the lawyer went through throughout the process.
Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai was initially released on ZEE5, on May 23, 2024. The film later has a theatrical release in June 2023.
