​ Sita Ramam actress Mrunal Thakur to team up with Suriya in THIS film?

Social media is abuzz with the news that Sita Ramam actress Mrunal Thakur is all set to team up with Suriya in his next. However, there has been a lot of speculation around which film she would be part of. While some say that she will be seen in the period era of Suriya42, which is helmed by Siruthai Siva, many others state that she will play the leading lady in Suriya43, which will mark his reunion with Sudha Kongara. If the actress comes on board, it will mark her debut in the Tamil film industry

Mrunal Thakur became a sensation after she appeared in the Telugu romantic film, written and directed by Hanu Raghavpadi. The film, in which she teamed up with Dulquer Salmaan and Rashmika Mandanna, marked her debut in the south. She will now be seen in Nani30, the announcement of which she made on New Year day. Mrunal Thakur has also worked in films like Super30, Toofan, Dhamak and Jersey. She has also been on television with shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyan to name a few.

Suriya42 is being made on a grand scale and the film also marks the debut of Bollywood star Disha Patani in Tamil. Suriya is likely to play a superhero and a glimpse of the film had featured Suriya watching a battlefield, with an eagle perched on his shoulder. Suriya42 is billed as a pan-India project and will be released in ten languages.

Suriya is also set to team up with his Soorarai Pottru director Sudha Kongara and the film is likely to be a period gangster drama. Suriya also has in his kitty, the much-awaited film with Vetri Maaran, Vaadi Vaasal. Suriya will play a Jallikattu bull tamer for the first time in his career. The pre-production work is going on and Vaadi Vaasal will be bankrolled by Kalaipuli Thanu.
