Aamir Khan is ready with Taare Zameen Par's soul sequel Sitaare Zameen Par's theatrical release, but back when working with Darsheel Safary on the original film, the actor was not ready for the emotions he was to feel as a father. The actor recalled scolding dyslexic Junaid Khan, and how working on Taare Zameen Par did not only bring back the memory but also hit him hard. Here's everything the actor said...

Aamir Khan finally spoke about Junaid Khan's dyslexia 18 years after Taare Zameen Par's release. Stating that the film hit him hard, Aamir shared that he would scold Junaid. "I was like Nandkishore Awasthi in the beginning (the father from Taare Zameen Par). I used to scold Junaid," the actor confessed at the recently held Taare Zameen Par fanmeet.

Aamir Khan questioned every move made by Junaid Khan

While raising concern about how his son Junaid couldn't even write the letter A properly, the actor even scolded his son, saying that nobody could read his handwriting. Aamir revealed that the Loveyapa actor also had difficulty in reading. "When he used to read, he would say ‘from’ instead of ‘for’. Whenever he saw an ‘F’, he would just guess the word- of, from, for. He couldn’t read properly. So I used to try to explain things to him, and I would get confused too — how can he not understand such simple things?" It is to be noted that Junaid had confessed to being dyslexic and how Taare Zameen Par was actually his story.

Aamir Khan is now making his grand return to Bollywood with Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor terms the movie as Taare Zameen Par's soul sequel. The film this time is about a coach who needs to train specially-abled children in basketball. The movie is adapted from the Hollywood film Champions (which itself is an adaptation of the Spanish movie Campeones). The RS Prasanna directorial not only marks Aamir's Bollywood comeback but would also see Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh make a comeback. It also stars Darsheel Safary of Taare Zameen Par in a special role. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 20.
