With its outstanding opening weekend statistics, Aamir Khan's newest film Sitaare Zameen Par has all but confirmed its success at the box office. The film's box office total for the first weekend was Rs. 10 crore nett, and since its release on June 20, 2025, it has been steadily increasing.
As per Box Office India, the estimates for Sunday are anticipated to reach approximately Rs. 28 crore nett, following a significant 90% increase on Saturday. Even while turnout tends to dip on Sunday nights, the film might still reach even greater numbers depending on the late-night shows. The current estimates place the three-day weekend total between Rs. 55 crore and Rs. 58 crore nett, regardless of the circumstances.
It is the trend that distinguishes this performance. A significant increase from a starting point of ₹10 crore is unusual and indicates that there is considerable involvement from both the audience and word of mouth. Importantly, mass belts also demonstrated considerable growth on Sunday, adding to the film's success in drawing people across metro. From a long-term viewpoint, the figures are positive, even though Saturday's increase probably played a role in this broader reach.

Along with Chhaava, Housefull 5, Sikandar, and Sky Force, Sitaare Zameen Par has the fifth-highest weekend total for a Hindi film in 2025. The amount of bulk bookings and feeds linked to the Sky Force weekend total makes its inclusion in this list questionable.
Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy-drama that follows in the footsteps of Aamir Khan's 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, and it was produced by Aparna Purohit and directed by R. S. Prasanna. Genelia Deshmukh and Khan star in a film about a suspended basketball coach tasked with mentoring a disabled basketball squad. The 2018 Spanish film Campeones served as the official inspiration for the film.
The way things are going, the movie will definitely be a hit. The film has already surpassed expectations, but Monday's result will be critical in confirming its standing at the box office.
