Finally, Aamir Khan's most-awaited film, Sitaare Zameen Par, hit theatres on June 20. Starring Aamir, Genelia Deshmukh, and 10 newcomers, the story follows a basketball assistant coach, Gulshan Arora, who is sentenced to community service - teaching basketball for three months to a team of specially-abled adults. Ever since the film hit theatres, fans have been showering love and praise on the film, and called it 'truly special.'

When celebrities were praising Sitaare Zameen Par ahead of the release, it was expected that the film would touch fans' hearts as well. And it became true. After the film hit theatres, fans have been sharing their valuable reviews on X (Twitter) accounts. 

One fan said, "If you skip #SitaareZameenPar in theatres, next time don't complain that bollywood doesn't make good films."

The OTTplay review for Sitaare Zameen Par stated that in the film, Aamir Khan showed humility by leaving the spotlight on, letting the real stars—his neurodivergent team—shine brightest. "It’s less about Taare Zameen Par déjà vu and more about a man-child’s cosmic crash course in empathy," it further read. 

Meanwhile, the story of the film follows a disgraced basketball coach, Gulshan (Aamir Khan), after being fired for unprofessional behaviour, is tasked with training a team of intellectually disabled people as part of his community service. The film explores themes of liberation, inclusion, and the redefinition of normalcy, where Gulshan learns valuable life lessons from his students and undergoes personal transformation.

Meanwhile, Sitare Zameen Par is a remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions, which is also the basis for the 2023 Hollywood film Champions. 

Speaking about the cast, apart from Aamir and Genelia, the 10 newcomers are Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
