Sitaare Zameen Par is a 2025 Indian film about a disgraced basketball coach who finds redemption by coaching a team of neurodiverse adults, teaching viewers about inclusion, neurodiversity, empathy, and true mentorship. Produced by Aamir Khan, the film stars ten neurodiverse young actors who won people's hearts. Now, Aamir announced a documentary, Sitaaron Ke Sitaare, a documentary of the real stars behind the 'Sitaare' of Sitaare Zameen Par.

Aamir Khan Productions unveiled the trailer for the documentary, Sitaaron Ke Sitaare. The trailer introduces the parents of the Sitaare Zameen Par's young actors. It focuses on the lives and journeys of the parents. While the film deeply connected with the public, this documentary highlights the lives of the parents, their cherished moments, joys and their journey of growing up with Sitaare. The parents opened up about how they did not lose hope, and added that once you lose hope, it's over for your life and their lives too. Towards the end of the trailer, Aamir called the parents the real heroes.

Sitaare Zameen Par plot

Sitaare Zameen Par is an emotional sports-drama about an arrogant, short-tempered basketball coach, Gulshan Arora (Aamir Khan), who gets suspended and sentenced for training a group of adults with neurodivergent disabilities. 

Initially, he struggles with the team, but by helping the players overcome personal challenges like their fear of bathing, he learns empathy, rediscovers his passions, and transforms into a better person, ultimately leading them to a major tournament.

Sitaare Zameen Par stars 10 rising stars: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Apart from them, it also stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh. The film is directed by R. S. Prasanna.
