Ayalaan is Sivakarthikeyan's first brush with the science fiction genre. Earlier, the filmmakers released the first glimpse revealing the alien character from the movie. The movie promo promised to show Sivakarthikeyan in a full-fledged action avatar as he helps to navigate his alien friend on an alien planet.
The filmmakers have promised a visual spectacle, which is high on special effects. "It also gives us immense pleasure to let you know that 'Ayalaan' will be the first full-length live-action film in Indian cinema to have over 4,500 VFX shots with the alien character playing a pivotal role in the movie," said the statement released by the producers earlier.
The movie's special effects have been handled by the renowned Hollywood studio, Phantom FX. This studio boasts a track record of working on VFX for several successful Hollywood TV shows and movies, including The Flash and Joker, in addition to contributing to various Indian titles such as RRR and Beast.
