Prince star Sivakarthikeyan recently dropped in on the set of Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film Jailer. Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar, who is all set to make his debut in Tamil with the film, was also present on the set. Pictures of Sivakarthikeyan greeting the Kannada actor are doing the rounds on the internet. In the picture, Sivakarthikeyan is seen to be completely in awe of Shiva Rajkumar. Later, he is seen posing with both Rajinikanth and Shiva Rajkumar.

Interestingly,  Sivakarthikeyan had made a special appearance in Shiva Rajkumar's 2015 Kannada film Vajrakaya. He is also a friend of the film's director Nelson Dilipkumar and the duo had earlier worked together in the comedy caper Doctor.

In the meantime, makers of Jailer had yesterday dropped a video of the making of the film. The 13- second video shows a silhouette of Rajinikanth, in different poses. The video plays with an electrifying BGM which complements the tone of the video. The film has an ensemble cast which includes Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaah, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi and Vinayakan. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography is Vijay Kartik Kannan. Editing is by R Nirmal. The film is slated to hit screens for summer 2023.

This is the first time that Rajinikanth is teaming up with director Nelson Dilipkumar. The Superstar is said to be playing a jailer in the film. The shoot for the film is in full swing in Chennai. Rajinikanth was last seen in Siva's Annatthe, which met with a lukewarm response at the box office. Nelson Dilipkumar's last release was the action entertainer Beast, which starred Thalapathy Vijay in the lead. The film revolved around an ex-RAW agent's quest to rescue people held as hostage in a mall and opened to mixed reviews and failed to set the cash registers ringing at the BO.
