Sivakarthikeyan's Don team releases Mudhal Nayagan video song composed by Anirudh

The much-awaited Mudhal Nayagan, the special track from Sivakarthikeyan's latest Don, has been released. Calling the song, a dedication to fathers, Sivakarthikeyan wrote on his social media page, "A dedication to the #MudhalNaayagan of our lives ❤️ https://youtu.be/37F8gmKWAhs An @anirudhofficial Musical 🤗 Thank you @Lyricist_Vivek bro for the soulful lyrics ❤️🙏 Vocals by @ananthkrrishnan😊 #DON @Dir_Cibi @priyankaamohan @thondankani @KalaiArasu_ @LycaProductions (sic)." Don, directed by debutant Cibi Chakravarthi, has Samuthirakani playing Sivakarthikeyan's father.

Music for Don is by Anirudh Ravichander and lyrics for the song are by Vivek. The film's director Cibi Chakravarthi, wrote on his social media page, "#MudhalNayaganVideoSong #DON http://bit.ly/MudhalNaayagan Rockstar @anirudhofficial Musical 🔥Beautiful lyrics by @Lyricist_Vivek bro @ananthkrrishnan vocals 👌@Siva_Kartikeyan @SKProdOffl @LycaProductions @Udhaystalin @RedGiantMovies_ @KalaiArasu_ (sic)." Interestingly, Anirudh had composed the music for Sivakarthikeyan's last film, Doctor as well. 

Priyanka Mohan plays the leading lady in Don, with whom Sivakarthikeyan had earlier teamed up for Doctor. While SJ Suryah plays the antagonist as a strict disciplinarian teaching staff. The supporting cast includes Soori, Bala Saravanan, Manobala, Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Kaali Venkat, Munishkanth, Raju Jeyamohan and Radha Ravi. While the cinematography for the film is by KM Bhaskaran, editing is by Nagooran Ramachandran. The film opened to largely good reviews from the public and emerged as one of the biggest hits of Sivakarthikeyan. Don, also got one of the biggest openings for a Sivakarthikeyan film.

The film also got a lot of appreciation from the film fraternity. Sivakarthikeyan had said that he had got a phone call from Superstar Rajinikanth, who appreciated the film. According to Sivakarthikeyan, Rajinikanth seem to have said, “Super, fantastic. Very good acting. For the last 30 minutes, I couldn’t control my tears (sic)." The campus comedy caper is now streaming on the OTT giant, Netflix and the film has got massive streaming minutes on the digital platform, too.
