If the buzz in the industry is to be believed, the digital rights of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film, Maveeran have been bagged by the leading OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video. The film is directed by Madonne Ashwin, who recently won the National Award for his critically acclaimed work Mandela. Maveeran is said to be a bilingual (Tamil and Telugu) and has Aditi Shankar playing the leading lady. The shoot is on full swing. This is her second project after her maiden appearance in Karthi's rural entertainer Viruman, which was directed by Muthaiah.

Until now, there has been no official announcement about the digital rights of the film. The title announcement video was released by Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu, and going by the video, it looks like Sivakarthikeyan will be playing a superhero kind of role in the film. This is the first time that Sivakarthikeyan and Madonne Ashwin are teaming up for a film and the shoot is on in full swing.

In the meantime, speculations are also rife that Amazon Prime Video has bagged the digital rights for Dhanush's Captain Miller. The puja ceremony for the film was held recently and Dhanush's veshti-sattai look from the event is winning hearts. The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran is set in the 1930s and Dhanush plays the titular character in it. The title announcement poster had the actor sporting a long beard and riding a bike in style.

The star cast includes Priyanka Mohan in the lead, Sundeep Kishan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, John Kokken and Elango Kumaravel. Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar. The director had earlier revealed that he named the film Captain Miller as he was inspired by Tom Hank's character in Saving Private Ryan. We will have to wait for an official announcement from the team about the digital rights.
