Actor Karthi's action drama Kadaikutty Singam has turned six. The film, which is backed by Suriya under his production banner 2D Entertainment, is available for streaming on JioCinema, ZEE5, and OTTplay Premium. The film was written and directed by filmmaker Pandiraj and released on July 13, 2018.
Apart from Karthi, the film also stars actors Sayyeshaa, Sathyaraj, Soori, Viji Chandrasekhar, Bhanupriya, Deepa Shankar, Arthana Binu and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The film revolves around a farmer from a small town. As he lives with his big family who bicker and fight for many reasons, him falling in love with a girl from a certain family adds more drama to his life. The film opened to mixed to positive reviews upon its release. Kadaikutty Singam has music composed by D Imman and the cinematography was by Velraj.
Meanwhile, Karthi recently announced that the shooting for his next film, Sardar 2, has begun. Director PS Mithran will reprise his role as a filmmaker. Sardar 2 has gone on floors on Friday following a grand pooja ceremony. Production banner Prince Pictures which backed the first film, will be returning as producers for the film.

Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Pandey, Laila, Rithvik, Munishkanth, Avinash, Yugi Sethu and Balaji Sakthivel played pivotal roles.
