Sixty Minutes is a German film that is coming to jack up your adrenaline levels during the post-New year blues in 2024. The film will be debuting on Netflix on January 19, 2024. The 1-hour-28 minute-film dropped its nearly 2-minute-long trailer on December 15, 2023. Director Oliver Kienle has co-written the film along with creator Philip Koch.
Starring Emilio Sakraya in the protagonist Octavio’s role, the film also features Marie Mourom as his partner-in-crime, as well as Dennis Mojen, Paul Wollin, Aristo Luis, Florian Schmidtke, and Morik Heydo. Screenplay writer Koch has produced the project along with Quirin Berg, Maximillian Vetter, and Max Widemann of Nocturna and W&B Television.
The film’s trailer offers a first-row view of the story, without sparing all the juicy details. Emilio Sakraya is Octavio, an MMA fighter who was about enter a big fight, which had lots of bets placed on it when he receives an earth-shattering call. His wife is going to file for sole custody, if he does not reach their daughter’s birthday party by 6pm, which is in sixty minutes.

Being a father and a fighter, he does the right thing in that moment. He makes a run for it. But of course, greedy businessmen and crime lords are not going to be so easily convinced, especially when huge amounts of money are involved. As a result, the trailer sees a toughened and resolute Octavio ready to face the world.
He must fight hordes of thugs, navigate multiple car chases and footpath runs, and pick up a cat from the pet store on time, all within sixty minutes. Else he will lose his beloved daughter forever. The trailer showcases the action edge as well as the emotional sheath of the story, by intermingling family conflict and strained relationships with gory action scenes and crazy stunts.
