Helmed by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, the series stars Lily-Rose Depp and singer Abel Tesfaye, who is popularly known as The Weeknd, in lead roles. The Idol tells the story of the complicated and toxic relationship between a pop star, played by Depp, and a mysterious club owner played by Tesfaye. The Idol is available to stream on JioCinema.

Henry Cavill lost the roles of both Superman and The Witcher in the space of a few months, much to the displeasure of the vocal fans of both franchises. However, it appears the fan-favourite British star could soon be headlining another iconic franchise. Apart from being linked to the currently-vacant James Bond role, the actor announced earlier this year that he will be starring in a Warhammer 40,000 adaptation. According to the latest reports, Cavill will headline a reboot film of the iconic Highlander franchise. The film will be helmed by John Wick director Chad Stahelski. The filmmaker has promised that he will incorporate familiar characters from the original films and the spinoff TV series in his upcoming film.
