Amazon Studios working on a Bosch spin-off series focusing on Detective Renée Ballard

Amazon Studios is expanding the Bosch universe even further with a new spin-off series. The untitled project will focus on Detective Renée Ballard as a member of the cold case division of the LAPD. Another Bosch spin-off Bosch: Legacy has also been renewed for a second season. Since it's the longest-running series on Prime Video, the show has garnered a significant number of viewers for the streaming platform. The original series is based on the novels series by Michael Connelly and follows the life of LAPD Detective Harry Bosch.

Ted Danson is teaming up with Mike Schur for The Mole Agent

An upcoming comedy based on the 2020 Chilean documentary, The Mole Agent is currently in the works on Universal Television. The project will see The Good Place star Ted Danson joining hands with Michael Schur, the brains behind well-known shows such as Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Good Place. The original documentary which made its debut in the 2020 Sundance Film Festival follows a private investigator who hires an elderly man so that he can infiltrate a nursing home in El Monte, Chile.

Berlin, the Money Heist spinoff series is set to release later this year

Money Heist, one of the most popular shows on Netflix, is getting a spin-off. Titled Berlin, the series will centre around the fan-favourite character, Andrés de Fonollosa, aka Berlin. Alex Pina, the creator of La Casa de Papel aka Money Heist has joined the project as a writer and revealed that the show will focus on the golden years of Berlin when he was stealing all over Europe. The show is set to release on Netflix in December 2023.

The sequel of Constantine is still in the works amid the new DC slate

With the announcement of the new DC slate, the future of several previously confirmed projects has been in limbo. However, Warner Bros assured that the sequel to the beloved cult-classic superhero film, Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves is still going ahead. The confirmation comes after several publications reported that the film was cancelled, resulting in a massive backlash on social media. A spokesperson from Warner Bros. confirmed the sequel is still part of Gunn and Safran's vision and could be part of the Elseworlds stories like Matt Reeves'The Batman and Todd Philips’ The Joker, and separate from the rebooted DC Universe.

Andy Samberg and Jean Smart are cast in the upcoming rom-com 42.6 Years

Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg and Hacks star Jean Smart will star opposite each other in Craig Gillespie's next film, 42.6 Years. Samberg will play a young man who was part of an unconventional experiment which cryogenically froze him. After waking up 42.6 years later from this life-saving experiment, he is forced to turn to his now older ex-girlfriend, played by Smart. Samberg is the one who came up with the idea for the film and co-wrote it with The Menu writer Seth Reiss.

Amanda Seyfried is set to star in Atom Egoyan’s film Seven Veils

Amanda Seyfried has landed her next role after her phenomenal performance as the disgraced entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout, earning her a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. According to new reports, she is reuniting with Chloe filmmaker Atom Egoyan for a production of Seven Veils. Seyfried will essay the role of a theatre director named Jeanine who has taken on the colossal task of reforming her former mentor’s work, the opera Salome.

After having major theatrical success, Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja’s film Waltair Veeraya is

gearing up for a digital release. The announcement of its Netflix release on February 27, 2023, was shared on social media. Helmed by Bobby Kolli, the film also stars Shruti Haasan and Catherine Tresa in prominent roles. The action drama centres around a fisherman and his friend, the egoistic ACP Vikram Sagar IPS.
