CBS greenlights ‘Young Sheldon’ spinoff focused on Georgie & Mandy

CBS has officially given the green light for a spinoff of Young Sheldon centred around characters Georgie played by Montana Jordan and Mandy played by Emily Osment. The project has moved from a pilot order to a full-season development. The untitled series will explore the challenges of parenting as Georgie, Sheldon's brother, takes the lead. While specific plot details are under wraps, it is expected to delve into the Cooper family dynamics, with Mary played by Zoe Perry and George Cooper Sr. played by Lance Barber providing support. Producers Chuck Lorre, Steve Holland, and Steven Molaro, who worked on Young Sheldon, are set to return for this new chapter.

Colin Farrell stars in Apple TV+'s 'Sugar' - First trippy trailer released

Apple TV+ has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming thriller series Sugar, set to premiere on April 5, 2024. The series, directed by Fernando Meirelles, promises to capture the essence of LA's investigative world with a neo-noir touch. Starring Colin Farrell as John Sugar, a private investigator searching for a missing person, the trailer hints at an exploration of the dark side of humanity. The show,  developed by Meirelles and Mark Protosevich, features a stellar cast including Kirby, Amy Ryan, James Cromwell, Anna Gunn, and more. Sugar is expected to bring noir elements, such as voice-over narration, jazz-infused soundtrack, and a slow-burn narrative, to Apple TV+.

Ti West's 'MaXXXine' gets summer release date

The highly-anticipated third instalment in Ti West's X trilogy, titled MaXXXine, is set to hit theatres on July 5, 2024. Following the success of X and Pearl, the film focuses on Mia Goth's character, Maxine, who survived a massacre and became a Hollywood star. The horror film, framed as a classic whodunit murder mystery, explores the dark side of the American dream. The cast includes Mia Goth, Halsey, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Kevin Bacon, Giancarlo Esposito, and Lily Collins.
