Chuck Norris Returns to Cinema in Sci-Fi Thriller 'Agent Recon'
After a decade-long hiatus, Chuck Norris is making his cinematic comeback in the sci-fi action film Agent Recon. Norris takes on the role of Alistair, the head of a covert security task force, and he sends a talented rookie, played by rising Hong Kong action star Derek Ting, on a mission commanded by Colonel Green, portrayed by Beastmaster’s Marc Singer. Their mission is to investigate a top-secret facility suspected of experimenting with alien technology. As the plot unfolds, they encounter a being with unimaginable power. With Norris and Marc Singer on board, the film promises an epic, action-packed, and over-the-top experience. Notably, Norris’ son Dakota choreographed all of his father's fight sequences in the film. Agent Recon has completed filming and is set for a 2024 release in North America by Quiver Distribution.
Lionsgate Secures 'KILL' for Theatrical Release
In a groundbreaking deal, Lionsgate has acquired the rights to the Indian action film KILL, produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the film features popular TV stars Lakshya in the lead along with Tanya Maniktala. The film made its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival to critical acclaim. The story revolves around Amrit played by Lakshya and Tulika played by Tanya Maniktala, whose relationship is threatened when her family intervenes. Amrit, a commando, embarks on a daring mission to rescue her, leading to a thrilling adventure that explores the limits people will go to for love. KILL hits theaters in 2024.
Expanding Horizons: 'Fall' Series Unleashes Two Electrifying Sequels
Get ready for an adrenaline rush as the Fall series, directed by Scott Mann, transforms into a thrilling trilogy with two sequels in the works. The original film made waves with its gripping plot, top-notch performances, and suspenseful twists. Scott Mann, the creative force behind Fall, will not only produce the sequels but also co-write and direct the third instalment. The heart-pounding narrative will continue to entangle returning characters with new ones, throwing them into dire situations. The exceptional Caroline Grace Curry is expected to reprise her role as Becky. Fall 2 is gearing up to start filming in June 2024 but the release date is still under wraps.
Ron Howard's 'Eden' Gains All-Star Ensemble for Production
Acclaimed filmmaker Ron Howard's upcoming survival-thriller, Eden, begins production in Australia next month. The film, formerly known as Origin of Species, boasts a stellar cast, including Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, and Sydney Sweeney. Vanessa Kirby, fresh from her Mission: Impossible role, is set to dazzle alongside Joaquin Phoenix in Ridley Scott's Napoleon. Sydney Sweeney, known for HBO hits like The White Lotus and Euphoria, adds to the film's allure. Eden promises a darkly comic narrative, inspired by a true story, set in the Galapagos and delving into life's meaning. Hans Zimmer, in his tenth collaboration with Howard, will craft the film’s musical score.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni Set to Join 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' in Upcoming Season
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, sister of Bollywood's Ranbir Kapoor, is making her small screen debut on Netflix's reality series, The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. The upcoming season, relocating from Mumbai to Delhi, will feature prominent female entrepreneurs, including Sahni, Mash’s Shalini Passi, and the founder of Rezon Luxury Silverware – Kalyani Saha Chawla. The show, produced by Karan Johar, gives viewers a peek into the lives of four best friends as they navigate friendship, family, and careers, with the new additions set to bring more glamour and drama to the series. The second season, released on September 2, was a hit on Netflix. The upcoming season is expected to continue where it left off, with the fresh faces adding an exciting new dimension to the show.
Hrithik Roshan's 'Krrish 4' Shoot Set to Commence in 2024, Priyanka Chopra in Talks to Reprise Her Role
The highly anticipated fourth instalment of the Indian superhero franchise, Krrish, is officially in the works. According to a source cited by Hindustan Times, the production is scheduled to kick off in February or March 2024. Hrithik Roshan, who plays the titular character, has been actively preparing for the role, including a fitness transformation. The makers are also exploring international filming locations, considering Singapore for certain sequences. Priyanka Chopra, who played Roshan's love interest in the previous films, is in talks to reprise her role. The team is eager to bring her back on board, and discussions are underway to finalise her involvement.
Sunny Deol Joins Forces with Abbas-Mustan for Action Extravaganza
Sunny Deol, fresh from the success of Gadar 2, is set to collaborate with renowned director duo Abbas-Mustan and producer Vishal Rana for an upcoming action-packed film under the Echelon Productions banner. This project marks the first time association between Deol and Abbas-Mustan. Prior to this venture, Deol will complete filming for Lahore 1947, a highly anticipated film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan. The forthcoming action thriller, currently in pre-production, promises to deliver the typical Abbas-Mustan twists and turns and is slated for release by the end of the next year, with casting announcements on the horizon.
