Prepare to be transported to the 14th century in a thrilling cinematic adventure as Claes Bang, who is best known for Dracula and The Northman, takes centre stage as the iconic hero, William Tell. Directed by BAFTA winner, Nick Hamm, the film’s first-look image has been unveiled, showcasing Bang in a resolute portrayal of the legendary marksman. Armed with his iconic crossbow and mounted on horseback, he embodies the rebellious spirit that defines Tell's resistance against the encroaching Austrian forces. Drawing inspiration from Friedrich Schiller's classic play, this adaptation recreates a pivotal period during the twilight of the Roman Empire. In this era of fierce battles for supremacy among Europe's mighty nations, William Tell emerges as the unexpected adversary against Austrian oppression, leading a historic rebellion. What sets this rendition apart is its commitment to depicting iconic moments, including the legendary ‘Apple scene’, adding contemporary relevance to the epic. With an ensemble cast featuring A-list names such as Gandhi actor, Ben Kingsley, Oscar nominee, Jonathan Pryce, and more, William Tell promises a star-studded cinematic experience that captures the essence of a timeless legend with captivating flair.

Bill Skarsgård Gears Up for Action in New 'Boy Kills World' Image

Bill Skarsgård is ready to ignite the screen in the upcoming action film, Boy Kills World, as unveiled in a striking image shared by Empire Magazine. After premiering at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, the film is on the hunt for a release date. Skarsgård steps into the role of Boy, a young deaf man who, after losing his family, seeks solace and training from a mysterious mentor. This sets the stage for a gripping tale of vengeance against those who have wronged him. Boy's journey is far from solitary, as he encounters a diverse cast of characters, including ‘June 27’ played by Happy Death Day star Jessica Rothe, Benny played by Isaiah Mustafa widely known for appearing in Old Spice commercials, and a shaman portrayed by Yayan Ruhian – the Indonesian actor starring in The Raid. In a world marked by violence and betrayal, Boy transforms, both physically and in combat skills, on a mission to bring justice to the memory of those he's lost. Directed by Moritz Mohr, who expanded the story from a short film concept, Boy Kills World is produced by Sam Raimi, who is known for the Spider-Man trilogy.

‘Mission: Impossible 8' Faces Substantial Delay, New 2025 Release Date

Paramount's Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 2, starring Tom Cruise, has been hit with a setback due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. Originally slated for release in June 2024, it will now premiere on Memorial Day, May 23, 2025. Paramount's lineup faces a shuffle, affecting titles such as A Quiet Place: Day One and an untitled SpongeBob SquarePants animated film. The strike's indefinite duration has disrupted production, impacting the completion of Mission: Impossible 8. While A Quiet Place: Day One is pushed back to June 28, 2024, the untitled SpongeBob project shifts to December 19, 2025, with a wide release. A Quiet Place creator and lead star John Krasinski's IF will arrive a few days earlier than planned, releasing on May 17, 2024, rather than May 24. The film was shot last year and is currently in post-production.

Money Heist' Prequel 'Berlin' Teaser Reveals the Heist Crew

The highly-anticipated prequel to Money Heist, titled Berlin, is set to hit Netflix in December. A new teaser introduces the crew led by the enigmatic Berlin and sheds light on their dynamics and relationships. The cast of the prequel includes Tristán Ulloa as Damián, the apparent second-in-command to Berlin. Begoña Vargas plays Cameron, Julio Peña portrays Roi, Joel Sánchez is Bruce, and Michelle Jenner takes on the role of Keila. The teaser hints at a heist in the city of love as Berlin and his crew prepare to rob an auction house in Paris. Berlin, known for his romantic side, becomes entangled with the auction house owner's wife. Berlin follows the backstory of Pedro Alonso's morally ambiguous character, Andrés de Fonollosa, whose sacrifice and enigmatic past have played a crucial role in the Money Heist series. In addition to the new cast, Money Heist stars Najwa Nimri and Itziar Ituño will reprise their roles as Alicia Sierra and Raquel Murillo. The prequel arrives on Netflix on December 29, 2023.

Olivia Colman and Dev Patel Star in Unconventional Romance 'Wicker'

Academy Award-winner Olivia Colman and Dev Patel will share the screen in the unconventional romance film, Wicker. Colman portrays a solitary fisherwoman in a remote coastal village who has grown weary of her isolated life and the constant ridicule she endures from the people of the town mockery. So creates a husband made from wicker, played by Patel. Their unique romance sparks chaos among the townspeople. Directed by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson, known for the offbeat comedy Save Yourselves! the film adapts Ursula Wills-Jones' short story The Wicker Husband. Wicker is scheduled to film in Europe next year. Both Colman and Patel, renowned actors, have busy schedules ahead, with Colman's roles in Wonka, Wicked Little Letters, and the third Paddington film, while Patel stars in Monkey Man which is also his directorial debut and a horror film called Rabbit Trap.

Halle Berry Takes the Lead in Psychological Thriller 'The Process'

Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry is set to star in and co-produce a psychological thriller titled The Process. The film, co-produced with Holly Jeter under their banner, HalleHolly, casts Berry as Kirsa, one half of a seemingly happily married couple. Their lives take a dark turn when they attend a weekend self-help seminar led by Aiden, a renowned guru. The seminar's introspective exercises strain their marriage as Kirsa resists Aiden's methods while her husband embraces them. The differences in their reactions become a catalyst for testing their sanity and marriage. While Berry is known for her action roles, she has also excelled in psychological thrillers, such as Gothika and Frankie and Alice. The Process is described as a Kubrickian psychological thriller exploring the world of self-help cults. The film is directed by Tara Miele and written by Levin Menekse. Although it lacks a release date, it adds to Berry's growing and diverse filmography, which includes her directorial debut in Bruised and an upcoming spy thriller alongside Angelina Jolie.

Shahid Kapoor's Upcoming Thriller 'Deva' with Pooja Hegde

Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, who is known for his versatile roles, recently announced his next venture, a thrilling film titled Deva. The film, produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Zee Studios, features Pooja Hegde as the leading lady. The film's title and release date were revealed on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. Kapoor shared his look from the film, featuring a rugged beard and a gun, hinting at an action-packed role, possibly that of a cop. The film, directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrews, marks the director's Bollywood debut. Although not much about the movie's plot has been disclosed, it promises a riveting cinematic experience. Deva is set to release on October 11, 2024, during Dussehra.

Tushar Jalota to Direct Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor in Dinesh Vijan's Next Thriller

It was recently revealed that actors Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor are set to collaborate on a film produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios. While the director's name was initially kept under wraps, the latest update suggests that Tushar Jalota, the director of Dasvi, will helm this upcoming project. Jalota has been working on a thriller, and the film is scheduled to go into production in 2024. The film’s producer Vijan was impressed with the script and reached out to both Malhotra and Kapoor. The two actors, previously in talks for different projects with Dinesh Vijan, have now come together for this exciting venture. The film is expected to commence filming in the first half of 2024. Vijan is currently gearing up for the release of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's next film, which is set to hit theatres during the Valentine's Day weekend in 2024.
