Ranbir Kapoor signs Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ on his own terms and conditions – Fixed working hours and 270 days for shoot

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a fan of Ranbir Kapoor's work, has been keen on working with him for a while. Although Ranbir had declined a previous offer for the film Baiju Bawra, he found the script of Love & War appealing and agreed to be a part of the project alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Despite the eagerness to work with Bhansali, Ranbir Kapoor has laid down specific terms and conditions in his contract to ensure a comfortable working environment. The actor has requested strict adherence to the timelines of the shoot. The film is set to go on floors in November 2024 and wrap up by July 2025, accommodating Ranbir's other commitments from August 2025. Moreover, Ranbir has insisted on fixed working hours to avoid the erratic schedules he experienced during the filming of Saawariya. This condition aims to ensure a more organized and disciplined working environment on the set. Alia Bhatt reportedly played a crucial role in reconciling any differences between Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She is credited to have facilitated a meeting between the two and encouraged an open discussion where both parties could express their terms and conditions. Love & War is scheduled to begin filming in November 2024, with a Christmas 2025 release.

Shabana Azmi - Sunny Deol to share screen space for the first time

In a surprising development, acclaimed actress Shabana Azmi is set to share the screen with Sunny Deol for the first time in Raj Kumar Santoshi's film Lahore 1947. This comes after her recent collaboration with Dharmendra in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Shabana Azmi plays a crucial role in the movie, portraying the character of a Hindu matriarch in Lahore who refuses to part with her ancestral haveli, even after it is allocated to a Muslim migrant family from India. The film is set against the backdrop of the tumultuous events of 1947. While Shabana Azmi and Sunny Deol aren't cast as romantic leads, their on-screen collaboration adds an interesting dynamic to the movie. Preity Zinta also features in the film as Sunny Deol's significant other. The duo was last seen together in the 2018 film Bhaiaji Superhit. Lahore 1947 promises to be a compelling narrative set in a significant historical period, and the casting choices suggest a unique and powerful portrayal of the characters.
