Dhanush and Vadivelu to star in new film

Tamil superstar Dhanush is set to team up with legendary Tamil comedian Vadivelu in the upcoming Mari Selvaraj directorial. While Vadivelu and Dhanush have never collaborated previously, Selvaraj and Dhanush recently collaborated on the hit film Karnan in 2021. Selvaraj is currently working on the finishing touches for his next release Maamannan featuring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh, and Fahadh Faasil in prominent roles, whereas Dhanush is wrapping up his scenes for the Arun Matheswaran directorial Captain Miller.

Dream Girl 2 starring Ayushmann Khurrana announces release date

Ayushmann Khurrana’s highly anticipated film Dream Girl 2 has been delayed. Fans of the Bollywood star will have to wait till August 25, 2023, to catch Khurrana essay the roles of Pooja and Karam in the film. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film also stars Ananya Panday and Paresh Rawal.

Netflix to greenlight more seasons for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi

Heeramandi, the highly anticipated Sanjay Leela Bhansali Netflix TV series will not release all of its episodes together according to reports. And It appears Netflix will release the first season containing eight episodes later this year, with more episodes to follow in the second season. The decision indicates that Heeramandi will return for multiple seasons.

Chris Sanders to reprise his role as Stitch in Lilo and Stitch live-action remake

The original voice actor of the Lilo and Stitch animated series, Chris Sanders, will reprise his role as the Stitch in the new live-action remake according to reports. The Disney film has already cast Tia Carrere, who originally voiced Nani, in a new role for the upcoming film. Maia Kealoha will essay the role of Lilo while Sydney Elizebeth Agudong replaces Carrere as Nani. Zach Galifianakis has also been added to the cast along with Magnussen as Pleakley and Courtney B Vance.

Guy Ritchie bans real guns on film sets

It was recently revealed that Hollywood star Alec Baldwin will not face further charges as a result of the alleged accidental fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in the movie set of Rust in 2021. In the aftermath of the tragedy and the legal battle that ensued British filmmaker, Guy Ritchie has banned real guns inside the set. The director revealed that they use Airsoft pellet guns for all his projects.

New Transformers animated feature is in the works

The next Transformers film is on the way this year with the release of the highly anticipated live-action film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. But fans of the franchise will have more reasons to be excited as it has been announced that a new animated film will hit theatres next year. However, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has revealed that the new film will not be titled Transformers: A New Generation as speculated. He also revealed that the new film will follow the backstory of Optimus Prime and Megatron. It will also explore how the two close friends eventually become enemies.
