'Ferrari' biopic announces release date

The highly-anticipated Michael Mann film Ferrari, a biopic on the late automotive mogul Enzo Ferrari, has announced its release date. The film stars Adam Driver in the titular role, and it will explore the storied life of the Italian visionary. Shailene Woodley, Jack O’Connell, Sarah Gadon, Patrick Dempsey, and Gabriel Leone essay other pivotal roles in the film. The film will premiere at the Venice Film Festival and is scheduled to hit theatres on Christmas Day, December 25th, this year.

Luc Besson’s 'Dogman' to release in September

Renowned French filmmaker Luc Besson, who is best known for iconic films such as Léon: The Professional and La Femme Nikita is set to release his next film titled Dogman. The film revolves around a man obsessed with dogs as a means to escape the harsh cruelties of life. Cannes winner Caleb Landry Jones will essay the lead role as Douglas the Dogman. The thriller film revolves around Douglas’ battles against his dangerous adversaries. The film is Besson's first film since the 2019 film Anna and is scheduled to release on the 27th of September.

Hulu announces adult animation and anime hub titled ‘Animayhem’

Disney-owned American streaming service, Hulu, has announced that it is set to launch a new hub for its adult animation and anime. Titled Animayhem, the sub-brand will feature iconic animated shows such as American Dad, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Futurama, and King of the Hill. The entire catalogue includes 46 adult animated series, 272 anime series, and 17 anime films. Further details regarding the new sub-brand are yet to be revealed.

Fox announces 2023 release schedule for animated content

American TV network Fox has announced its next slate of animated shows for 2023 as part of its ‘Animation Domination’ lineup. Iconic shows such as The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy will be returning with new seasons later this year, along with Dan Harmon’s new series Krapopolis. Harmon, who is best known for helming Rick and Morty and Community, is already developing another series for Apple TV+ titled Strange Planet. However, Krapopolis will be a Fox exclusive and is about a group of humans, Gods, and monsters, attempting to manage an ancient city. The first two episodes will premiere on 24th September.

‘Twisted Metal’ video game adaption releases first trailer

Captain America star Anthony Mackie, Brooklyn Nine-Nine alum Stephanie Beatriz, and Spider-Man 3 actor Thomas Haden Church are set to star in the forthcoming series titled Twisted Metal. The Peacock original series is an adaption of the hit vehicular combat video game of the same name, and it promises plenty of action and mayhem. Cobra Kai writer Michael Jonathan Smith serves as showrunner for the series which is set to premiere on July 27th on Peacock. The Indian release date of the series is yet to be announced.

Sam Raimi’s horror film ‘Don’t Move’ casts ‘Bridgeton’ star Daniel Francis

Spider-Man trilogy and Doctor Strange 2 director Sam Raimi is set to helm a new horror film titled, Don’t Move. The filmmaker returns to the horror genre after helming iconic horror films over the years such as The Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, and Drag Me to Hell among others. Bridgeton star Daniel Francis has been cast in the upcoming film alongside Yellowstone, Wind River, and Fargo star Kelsey Asbille, as well as American Horror Story and La La Land actor Finn Wittrock. The plot revolves around a woman who is on the run from a seasoned killer who has injected her with a paralytic agent. She must refuge before her body completely shuts down.
