John Cena and Zac Efron join as leads in Peter Farrelly's Ricky Stanicky

Hollywood hunks Zac Efron and John Cena will essay the lead roles in Peter Farrelly's new comedy Ricky Stanicky. The award-winning director is making a comeback to comedy with this film which will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The film follows three friends trying to escape tricky situations without alerting their significant others. The duo create a fake friend and are later forced to hire an actor to pass for this ‘friend’. Coming 2 America star Jermaine Fowler is also joining the cast of this Farrelly comedy.

Katie Cassidy and Devon Sawa among others join the cast of Fallout

Katie Cassidy, best known for essaying the role of Black Canary in the hit CW series Arrow, is set to headline the survival thriller Fallout. The film is not to be confused with the upcoming video game adaptation TV series by Amazon with the same title and similar premise. Michael Miceli and Cecil Chambers will helm the project and the plot will follow six people who are forced inside an underground bunker to survive nuclear annihilation. The film just concluded filming in New Jersey and is heading towards post-production. Cassidy will be joined by Devon Sawa, Chris Backus, Kate Bosworth, and Tyrese Gibson.

The Cleaning Lady is renewed for the third season

It's good news for crime drama fans; Fox Studios have announced that the popular series The Cleaning Lady will be renewed for a third season. We’ve also learnt that Jeannine Renshaw, known for producing shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Ghost Whisperer, will be billed as the executive producer and co-showrunner in the forthcoming season. Based on the Argentinian television series La chica que limpia, the series stars Élodie Yung, Adan Canto, Oliver Hudson, Sebastien, Naveen Andrews, and Martha Millan.

Prime Video renews The Terminal List for the second season

Chris Pratt fans are in for a treat. The actor is returning as Lieutenant Commander James Reece for the second season of the action thriller show, The Terminal List. Prime Video made an announcement about expanding the franchise and producing a new spinoff show starring Taylor Kitsch. Pratt will serve as the executive producer on both the original show and the spinoff. Based on Jack Karr's novel of the same name, the series follows the story of a Lieutenant Commander after he returns from a mission where his Navy SEAL team was ambushed.

The Bridgerton spinoff series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is getting a spring release

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the highly-anticipated Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story since the teaser dropped at the Netflix Tudum event. The show will feature India Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest in the society-changing love story of Queen Charlotte and King George. Journalist Meghan O'Keefe took to Twitter to reveal that the spinoff romance series will release in just a few months and Netflix may release the trailer for the series soon. Now that’s something to look forward to.

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan to work on a Campeones adaptation

It was speculated that Aamir Khan was on a break from acting, following Lal Singh Chaddha’s dismal performance at the box office. But now we’ve learnt that he has chosen to be associated with the official adaptation of Campeones only as a producer and won’t be acting in the film. Salman Khan is said to replace the Dangal star in the lead and will play the coach leading a team of disabled players. The film which has been titled Champions will start filming in the first half of 2023.

Ananya Panday to collaborate with Vikramaditya Motwane for a cyber thriller

Bollywood star Ananya Panday will be working with critically-acclaimed filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane in an upcoming project. Motwane has helmed poignant and compelling films such as Udaan, Lootera, and Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. We’re told that his next project is a contemporary tale that caters to an urban audience. The cyber thriller will be produced by actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi's banner Saffron.

Amitabha Bachchan and Deepika Padukone’s Project K will be a two-part film

Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are set to share the screen again after their phenomenal performances in the 2015 film Piku. They will be joined by Prabhas in Nag Ashwin’s futuristic film Project K. The two-part sci-fi film series will establish the imaginary world and its conflict in the first film and lead it to a logical conclusion in the second film. Disha Patani has also been roped in for the project which is slated to release in April next year.
