Jersey postponed

The highly anticipated Shahid Kapoor film, Jersey, has been postponed yet again. The film, directed by Gowtam Tinnanur was originally set for Dec 2021 release, which was then postponed to April 14 this year. The film will now release a week later on 22 April, reportedly to avoid clashing with two potential blockbusters KGF: Chapter 2 and Vijay’s film Beast. Jersey is a remake of the 2019 Telugu film starring Nani.

Resul Pookutty to direct Malayalam film

Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty is set to make his feature film directorial debut. A source has confirmed to OTTplay that Pookutty is set to direct a Malayalam film titled, Otta, with Asif Ali attached as the lead actor and Arjun Ashokan in a supporting role. An official announcement is to be expected on the 13th of April.

Mayans M.C. adds Manny Montana to its cast

Mayans MC, the spinoff to the iconic TV series, Sons of Anarchy, has added Good Girls star Manny Montana to its cast for the upcoming fourth season. He will play the role of a new member of the Yuma Mayans. The fourth season of the crime-drama series about notorious biker gangs will be released on April, 19.

Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul to reprise roles in Better Call Saul

The iconic duo of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, who essayed the lead roles of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, will reprise their roles for the sixth and final season of the spin-off series Better Call Saul, starring Bob Odenkirk. The news was confirmed by showrunner Peter Gould.

Brie Larson joins Fast and Furious 10

Vin Diesel, the star and executive producer of the Fast and Furious franchise, has confirmed that Brie Larson will join the cast for the 10th installment of the franchise. The Academy Award-winning actress popular for her role as the Marvel superhero Captain Marvel will be joined by Aquaman and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa for the tenth film. Directed by Justin Lin, the film is expected to be released in 2023, with Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Charlize Theron expected to return.

Rebel Moon adds Cary Elwes and Corey Stoll to its cast

Zack Snyder’s upcoming Netflix film, Rebel Moon, has added Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, and Alfonso Herrera to its cast. The epic-space odyssey film about warring intergalactic space colonies stars Sofia Boutella in the lead along with Sons of Anarchy lead Charlie Hunnam. Zack Snyder’s Justice League star Ray Fisher, along with Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Rupert Friend, and Stuart Martin play supporting roles.

James Ponsoldt to direct Shrinking

The upcoming Apple TV+ series, helmed by Ted Lasso duo Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, has added James Ponsoldt as its director. The series stars Hollywood legend Harrison Ford in the lead, alongside How I Met Your Mother star Jason Segel, while Christa Miller and Jessica Willaims will play supporting roles. The 10-episode series revolves around an experienced therapist named Dr Phil Rhodes played by Ford and his protege Jimmy, played by Segel.
