Olivia Colman and Florence Pugh joins Puss in Boots 2

The sequel to the Shrek spinoff, Puss in Boots, has added Olivia Colman and Florence Pugh to its cast. Titled, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, the film is directed by Joel Crawford, and the animated film will feature Antonio Banderas reprising his role as the titular character with Salma Hayek also returning as Kitty. The film is set to release on the 23rd of September this year.

Anjali Bhimani joins cast of upcoming Marvel TV show, Ms. Marvel

Runaways star Anjali Bhimani has joined the cast of the upcoming Disney+ original series Ms Marvel. Bhimani, also popular for voicing characters in hit video games such as Overwatch and Apex Legends, will join Iman Vellani in the series - Vellani plays the titular character Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel. The series is set for February 17, 2023 release with Bisha K. Ali helming the project as showrunner, and is joined by Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon as directors.

Sonic the Hedgehog star Jim Carrey involved in creative for upcoming comic series

Veteran Hollywood star Jim Carrey who essayed the role of Dr. Robotnik: in the Sonic the Hedgehog based on the hit video game franchise has been credited with contributing to the spin-off comic series based on Dr. Robotnik. The sequel film titled Sonic The Hedgehog 2, starring Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, and Carrey will release on April 8 this year.

Abbott Elementary renewed for a second season

ABC’s hit comedy series Abbott Elementary has been renewed for a second season at ABC. Created by Quinta Brunson, the series stars Brunson herself as the lead with Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and Sheryl Lee Ralph in supporting roles, The series is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar in India.

Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise to premier at Cannes

The highly anticipated sequel to the 1986 action blockbuster, Top Gun, starring Tom Cruise is set to premiere at Cannes this year. Titled, Top Gun: Maverick, the film is set to release on May 27. The film stars Tom Cruise in the lead, reprising his role as the ace pilot Maverick, with Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller, Jon Hamm, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer, returning as Iceman, with Joseph Kosinski as director.

Catherine Zeta-Jones joins original series 'National Treasure'

National Treasure, the spin-off TV series of the popular films of the same name, has added Academy and Tony-award winning actress Catherine-Zeta Jones to its cast. She will play the role of a billionaire treasure hunter named Billie, who is relentless in her pursuit of a lost Pan-American treasure. The series stars Lisette Alexis in the lead as a young treasure hunter named Jess. The series is set to premiere globally on Disney+ with no official confirmation on a release date. There is also no information whether Nicolas Cage, star of the original films, will make an appearance.
