Orlando Bloom’s next project is a boxing thriller titled The Cut

Orlando Bloom will be next seen in the upcoming psychological thriller titled The Cut. He is well-known for portraying Legolas in The Lord of the Rings franchise and Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. For his next role, Bloom will play a retired boxer who decides to suspend his retirement to defend his championship title. Helmed by Academy Award-nominated director Sean Ellis, the screenplay is penned by Justin Bull. Details regarding the remaining cast are being kept under wraps.

Ben Foster is cast in an environmental thriller titled Floodplain

Ben Foster is reuniting with Topic Studios for the upcoming environmental thriller film Floodplain after their previous collaboration on 2018's Leave No Trace. Based on themes such as family trauma, environmental justice, and race, the film tells the story of a man trying to make up for his past mistakes and return to his hometown to help prevent a catastrophic flood. Foster will play the lead and supporting roles will be played by Katherine Waterston, Maria Bakalova, and Justice Smith.

Uncoupled starring Neil Patrick Harris is renewed for the second season

With the recent Paramount+ and Showtime integration, another cancelled series has been revived. The comedy series Uncoupled starring Neil Patrick Harris was cancelled last month by Netflix. However, the show has been renewed for a second season by Showtime. Created by Emily in Paris creator Darren Star and Modern Family writer Jeffrey Richman, the series follows a middle-aged real estate agent living in New York City who parted ways with his partner of seventeen years.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Live in Concert is set to premiere in NYC

The Academy Award-winning film Spider-Man Into the Spider-verse was a historical release since it marked the first animated feature of the franchise to traverse through the multiverse. Fans will be overjoyed to learn that the creators are planning to showcase the movie as a live in concert titled Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Live in Concert. The minute-long clip released on the movie’s official Twitter account features visuals from the movie with a live background score performed by a multitude of artists. The concert will take place in Kings Theater in NYC in March.

Smriti Mundhra references Yash Raj Films' legacy to tell the story of Hindi cinema in her new docu-series The Romantics

Filmmaker Smriti Mundhra, the director behind Netflix’s popular documentary Indian Matchmaking is working on a new docu-series titled The Romantics where she will capture the essence of Indian Cinema. Mundhra, a fan of Yash Chopra’s love stories, will reference Chopra’s studio, Yash Raj Films (YRF), to tell the story of Hindi cinema. She has sat down with 35 film personalities, including stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukerji, and the late Rishi Kapoor, and also managed to get a rare video interview with the studio head Aditya Chopra.

The biggest new movie trailers released at the Super Bowl 2023

A number of new film and TV trailers and teasers were released during the halftime programming of the 2023 Super Bowl. The trailer for The Flash starring Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Ben Affleck, Kiersey Clemons, and Michael Keaton was the biggest reveal. The film is set to hit theatres on June 16 and will reset DC’s shared cinematic universe. It will feature Ben Affleck’s final outing as Batman and also the return of Michael Keaton as Batman from another universe.

Prime Video unveiled the first trailer for Air. As per the trailer, the film will focus on the story of Sonny Vaccaro, the Nike marketing executive who pushed Nike Inc. to pursue the basketball legend, Michael Jordan for sponsorship deals. Matt Damon will essay the role of Vaccaro and Viola Davis will play Michael Jordan’s mother, Deloris Jordan, who was instrumental in sealing the deal that changed sports history. The film also stars Ben Affleck as Nike co-founder Phil Knight, along with Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Marlon Wayans, and Chris Tucker.

The audience also got a look at Adam Driver’s thriller 65. The trailer for the anticipated film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves starring Regé-Jean Page, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris Pine, and Hugh Grant was also released. The horror classic Scream is making a comeback with Scream VI starring Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Courteney Cox and Hayden Panettiere. The trailers of big films such as Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny also received new trailers at the Super Bowl half-time show.
