Highly-anticipated Netflix feature Nimona announces release window

Kick-Ass star Chloë Grace Moretz and Sound of Metal and Rogue One star Riz Ahmed will play lead roles in the Netflix animated feature Nimona. Moretz will essay the titular character, an adventurer who has the ability to shape-shift. Her life takes a turn when she becomes the target of an assassination, which is to be carried out by Ballister Blackheart, who will be played by Ahmed. Despite several delays, the animated film is set to release in June this year.

Scarlett Johansson's Tower of Terror to be directed by Taika Waititi

Taika Waititi's stacked schedule is set to become even busier with this announcement. The Kiwi filmmaker has been roped in to helm Tower of Terror starring Scarlett Johansson. The Tower of Terror is a Disney theme park attraction inspired by The Twilight Zone. ATower of Terror film was previously released in 1997 but failed to impress audiences and critics alike. The new film will be written by Inside Out writer Josh Cooley. We’re hoping this one will be a chilling experience to remember.

Pedro Pascal cast in Barbarian' director’s new horror film

Hollywood star Pedro Pascal, who recently starred in the hit HBO series The Last of Us, is set to play the lead in the forthcoming horror film Weapons. The film will be helmed by Zach Cregger, who is best known for directing the acclaimed horror film Barbarian. The film will commence production later this year and is expected to release in 2024.

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis return for ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel

Lindsay Lohan and Academy Award-winner Jamie Lee Curtis are set to reunite as the body-swapping mom and daughter for the sequel to their 2003 comedy film Freaky Friday. The sequel is written by Elyse Hollander, and the original story is based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers.

Minal Murrali sequel confirmed by Tovino Thomas

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has confirmed that the Minnal Murali sequel is in development. However, the actor confirmed that the sequel will be released in theatres first, unlike the first film which premiered on Netflix. He also added that he would prefer OTT rights to be acquired by Netflix. The first was directed by Basil Joseph, with Femina George and Guru Somasundaram in prominent roles. Further details regarding the sequel have been kept under wraps at present. But we’re certain this is going to be a smashing return of our very own desi superhero.

Johnny Depp’s Amedeo Modigliani biopic adds Al Pacino to its cast

Johnny Depp’s directorial debut has added a few high-profile names to its cast, including Hollywood legend Al Pacino, Italian actor Riccardo Scamarcio, and French actor Pierre Niney. The film titled Modi is a biopic on the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani aka Modi, and it is adapted from Dennis McIntyre’s play Modigliani. The film will follow Modi’s life during a 48-hour period when he was on the run from the authorities. And his decision to leave the city is dismissed by those close to him.

Arjun Rampal prepares for Tollywood debut by learning Telugu

Bollywood star Arjun Rampal is set to make his Telugu debut in Anil Ravipudi’s untitled film starring Balakrishna. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Sreeleela in pivotal roles, while Rampal will slip into the role of the main antagonist. Director Ravipudi has revealed that Rampal has been practising his lines in Telugu in order to give more authenticity to his performance.
