Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ to release trailer during Diwali

2023 has been a busy year for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. After the record-breaking release of Pathaan earlier this year, King Khan is set to star in two upcoming potential blockbusters – Atlee’s Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. While a trailer for Jawan, releasing on 7th September, has already created waves, teasers and trailers for Dunki are yet to drop. However, to the delight of SRK fans, new reports have emerged that the first trailer for Dunki will be released during Diwali this year. Dunki is slated to hit theatres on 22nd December 2023.

Chiranjeevi to team up with Vassishta for a new film tentatively titled ‘Mega157’

Telugu screen legend Chiranjeevi is set to collaborate with filmmaker Vassishta for a new fantasy film tentatively titled Mega157. Vassishta made his directorial debut with the 2022 film Bimbisara, starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Chiranjeevi is no stranger to the fantasy genre, and his iconic 1990 film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari is still considered to be ahead of its time. Further details surrounding Mega157 are yet to be announced.

R.L. Stine’s ‘Zombie Town’ film adaptation releases trailer

Zombie Town, the film adaptation of young adult horror writer R L Stine’s eponymous novel, has released its first trailer. The story is said to be a blend of Stine’s other works such as Goosebumps and Fear Street. The horror-comedy is helmed by Peter Lepeiotis and stars veteran comedy actors Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase, along with Madi Monroe, and Marlon Kazadi. Zombie Town is scheduled to release in theatres on September 1, 2023.

Joel McHale and Beck Bennett play fierce rivals in the comedy film 'Office Race'

Fans of the hit comedy series Community were thrilled to find out earlier this year that a film adaptation of the series is finally releasing in 2024. And now it appears that there is more good news for Community fans. Lead star Joel McHale is set to star alongside SNL’s Beck Bennett for a new comedy film titled Office Race. The film follows the fierce rivalry between two colleagues and how their feud drives them to be obsessed with perfecting their physical appearance – almost to the brink of insanity. Directed by Jared Lapidus, the film also features an ensemble cast of JB Smoove, Kelsey Grammer, Alyson Hannigan, Sasheer Zamata, and Erinn Hayes. Office Race is scheduled to release on September 4, 2023.

'And Just Like That...'  renewed for a third season

Carrie Bradshaw fans are in luck too! The Sex and the City spinoff titled And Just Like That… has been renewed for a third season. The news was announced ahead of the Season 2 finale, and the finale is scheduled to premiere on 24th August. The finale will feature the highly-anticipated return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones. Cattrall was controversially excluded from the series reportedly due to friction with the Sex and the City lead star Sarah Jessica Parker and other cast members. However, it appears the differences between Cattrall and the cast have been set aside, as the fan-favourite character Samantha Jones makes her comeback. And Just Like That… is currently available to stream on JioCinema in India.

Zack Snyder’s space epic 'Rebel Moon' announces release date

Rebel Moon, the highly-anticipated space epic from filmmaker Zack Snyder has finally released its trailer. Snyder, who parted ways with Warner Bros and DC Films under controversial circumstances and signed a massive filmmaking deal with Netflix. Snyder has revealed that Rebel Moon will be released in two parts. The first part, titled Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire will premiere on Netflix on December 22, 2023, while Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver, will release on the platform on April 19, 2024. Rebel Moon is regarded as Snyder and Netflix’s answer to a mature and darker version of Star Wars and stars Sophia Boutella in the lead as Kora, an ex-soldier of the fascist regime called Mother World seeking redemption. Djimon Hounsou, Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, and Anthony Hopkins among others also play pivotal roles in the film.
