This comes hot on the heels of their theatrical deal with Disney, where Johnson continues his reign as Maui in Moana 2 and its live-action remake. Meanwhile, The Rock is busy flexing his star power in Red One, producing The Smashing Machine, and gearing up for another Jumanji adventure. With Disney, 20th Television, and Seven Bucks teaming up, the entertainment world is waiting to see what electrifying projects they’ll whip up next!

‘Supergirl’ takes flight: James Gunn spills exciting production details

The DCU is gearing up for a Kryptonian double feature! While Superman introduces David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel this year, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is well into production with House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El. Directed by Craig Gillespie (Cruella), the film is set for a June 26, 2026, release and boasts a stellar cast, including Jason Momoa as Lobo and Matthias Schoenaerts as the villainous Krem. James Gunn recently raved about Ana Nogueira’s script and Gillespie’s direction, teasing an "extraordinary experience" in the making. Stay tuned for more DCU updates!

Drew Starkey joins Anya Taylor-Joy in Apple TV+ thriller ‘Lucky’

Drew Starkey is swapping treasure hunts for high-stakes crime in Lucky, Apple TV+’s upcoming thriller starring Anya Taylor-Joy. Based on Marissa Stapley’s novel, the series follows Taylor-Joy’s character as she attempts to leave her criminal past behind, until danger drags her back in. Starkey, best known as Outer Banks' unhinged Rafe Cameron, will play her husband, Cary. The cast also boasts Timothy Olyphant, Annette Bening, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor. With The Adam Project's Jonathan Tropper and Silo’s Cassie Pappas at the helm, Lucky promises a gripping ride. No release date yet, but Apple TV+ is betting big on this one.

Moeka Hoshi hints at a mysterious return in ‘Shōgun’ season 2

FX’s Shōgun was meant to be a one-season wonder, but with its award-winning success, the network had other plans, Season 2 and even a third instalment are now in the works! While the first season closely followed James Clavell’s novel, the next chapters will forge their own path. One major question: Will Moeka Hoshi’s Fuji return? The actress, fresh off her Critics’ Choice Award win, teased Collider that she’s “kind of talking” to showrunner Justin Marks. Sounds like Fuji’s nunhood might not be the end of her story! Stephen King joins forces with Mike Flanagan for ‘The Dark Tower’, and he’s writing too

Just when The Dark Tower adaptation couldn’t get more exciting, Stephen King himself has jumped in, not just to oversee, but to write! While promoting The Monkey at IGN Fan Fest 2025, King confirmed he’s penning parts of the script but kept details hush-hush, fearing a jinx. This marks his fourth collaboration with Mike Flanagan, who’s already wowed audiences with Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep. Though the series lacks a release window, King recently called Flanagan’s work “perfect,” reassuring fans it’s moving forward, just slowly.

Mickey Haller’s legal woes worsen in ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ season 4, but he’s got backup

Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) is trading his Lincoln for a jail cell in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 as he faces trial for Sam Scales’ murder. While Constance Zimmer’s prosecutor Dana Berg is ready to bring him down, new allies emerge, Gigi Zumbado joins as Grace, a paralegal helping Mickey’s defence; Marcus Henderson plays Yannick Bamba, his prison protector; and KTLA reporter Kacey Montoya appears as herself. Based on Michael Connelly’s The Law of Innocence, the season will see Mickey grappling with his own courtroom advice. Streaming details for the upcoming season are yet to be announced.

Unravelling History: Ram Madhvani’s ‘The Waking of a Nation’ arrives on Sony LIV

Get ready for a gripping retelling of history as Ram Madhvani’s The Waking of a Nation lands on Sony LIV on March 7! Inspired by true events, the series dives into the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and the hidden conspiracies of colonial rule through the eyes of Kantilal Sahni (Taaruk Raina). With a narrative shaped by the Hunter Commission’s inquiry, Madhvani calls it one of his most cherished projects, spotlighting India's resilience. Featuring Nikita Dutta, Sahil Mehta, and Bhawsheel Singh Sahni, this historical drama promises a powerful, unflinching look at the cost of freedom.
