Vin Diesel updates fans on 'Fast XI' script progress

Actor Vin Diesel took to Instagram to share an exciting update that Zach Dean, who contributed to the Fast X story, is writing the script for Fast XI. While previously announced writers Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel might still be collaborating, there's no confirmation yet. Fast XI, initially set for April 2025, is now delayed to 2026, with Diesel already training for the film. The last instalment featured Dom Toretto's crew battling Dante Reyes, played by Jason Momoa, and earned over $700 million globally. The final chapter is in early pre-production, aiming to continue the franchise's high-octane legacy.

Beck Bennett joins James Gunn's 'Superman' as daily planet reporter

Former SNL star Beck Bennett has been cast in James Gunn's upcoming Superman film, where he'll play a reporter at the Daily Planet. Bennett joins a star-studded cast that includes David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The film, which marks the first DC movie of the Gunn era, is currently filming in Atlanta and is set to release on July 11, 2025. Known for his standout roles on SNL, Bennett's film career has been growing, with recent roles in Nimona and Unfrosted.

Tom Blyth to star in 'Watch Dogs' film adaptation

Rising star Tom Blyth, known for his role in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, will headline New Regency's adaptation of the popular video game series Watch Dogs, alongside Sophie Wilde. Directed by Mathieu Turi, the film's plot and Blyth's role remain under wraps. The original Watch Dogs game, originally released in 2014, features a hacker manipulating a city's electronic grid. With multiple projects lined up, including a Western series and war film, Blyth continues to solidify his presence in Hollywood. The release date for Watch Dogs is  yet to be announced.

Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton makes her directorial debut with The Hexagonal Hive and the Mouse in a Maze, co-directed with Bartek Dziadosz, premiering at Sheffield DocFest. Steve Zahn joins Glen Powell in Hulu's new sports comedy 'Chad Powers'

Steve Zahn, known for The Righteous Gemstones, joins Hulu's sports comedy Chad Powers as Coach Jake Hudson. Starring Glen Powell, the series is based on an ESPN sketch with Eli Manning. Zahn's character, a charismatic coach, gets one last chance at success with oddball Chad Powers. Powell plays a disgraced quarterback seeking redemption through disguise. Directed by Richard Linklater, Chad Powers explores themes of redemption and teamwork. Powell's latest film, Hit Man, premieres on Netflix on June 7.

Marion Cotillard joins 'The Morning Show' season 4 on Apple TV+

Oscar winner Marion Cotillard will join the fourth season of Apple TV+'s The Morning Show as Celine Dumont, a savvy operator from a prominent European family. The show, starring and produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, left off with intense drama involving Paul Marks played by Jon Hamm and Bradley Jackson's played by Witherspoon personal struggles. Season 4 will delve into the impacts of DeepFakes and AI on reality. The Morning Show has garnered critical acclaim and high viewership, with its third season breaking records and winning multiple awards. Seasons 1-3 are available for streaming on Apple TV+.

'Dear White People' star joins Prime Video's 'Criminal' adaptation

Logan Browning, known for her role in Dear White People, is set to star as Internal Affairs detective Jenny in Prime Video's upcoming series Criminal. Based on the graphic novel series by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, the show aims to present classic crime genre clichés with realism. Directors Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, known for Captain Marvel, will helm the first four episodes. Browning's character will be trained by Leo played by Charlie Hunnam, forming a capable duo to solve cases. The release date for Criminal on Prime Video is yet to be announced.

New Agatha Christie adaptation: Oliver Jackson-Cohen enters a dangerous love triangle

Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Anjelica Huston, and Mimi Keene headline the BBC's adaptation of Agatha Christie's Towards Zero. The series promises an intense mystery surrounding a perilous love triangle. Cameras are rolling for the three-part BBC production, with no release date confirmed yet. Jackson-Cohen stars as Nevile Strange alongside Huston as his aunt, and Keene as his new wife.
