The list of mainstream actors entering the OTT industry is only growing by the day. Tamil film actor-director SJ Suryah is the latest celebrity to join the OTT bandwagon. He has been roped in to play a lead role in a Tamil web show to be helmed by director Andrew Louis, who made his debut with the Vijay Antony-Arjun Sarja starrer Kolaigaaran. The show will stream on Amazon Prime Video after the shoot, confirms a report by DTNext.
Interestingly, Andrew had assisted SJ Suryah in the direction department in the past and it'll certainly be unique for the two to collaborate on a new slate in newer roles. The shoot of the show is slated to commence in August in several locations across Tamil Nadu (South) including Chennai. Reportedly, a crime thriller, other details about the cast and crew will be out soon.
SJ Suryah's recent theatrical release, Nenjam Marappathillai, is currently streaming on ZEE5. SJ Suryah, the actor, has had a decent run with several biggies like Mersal, Spyder, Monster and Iraivi, to name a few. While Mersal and Spyder are streaming on ZEE5, Monster can be watched on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from the OTT show, SJ Suryah will be a part of Simbu-starrer Maanadu, Sivakarthikeyan's Don and Kadamai Sei, a project where he plays the lead role.
