SJ Suryah's Kadamaiyai Sei trailer out

The trailer of SJ Suryah's Kadamaiyai Sei was released by Silambarasan TR today. The film stars SJ Suryah and Yashika Aannand in the lead and is directed by Venkatt Raghavan. Taking to his social media page, Silambarasan TR wrote, "Happy to Release the trailer of #KADAMAIYAISEI produced by TR Ramesh & S Zahir hussain Time to see @iam_SJSuryah's unseen performance in #KadamaiyaiSei Happy to see @iamyashikaanand in a new dimension Best wishes to d director @Venkatt_Ragavan & team (sic)." 

Music for the film is Arun Raj, cinematography is by Vinoth Rathinaswamy and editing is by Srikanth NB. The rest of the star cast includes Mottai Rajendran, Vincent Ashokan , Charles Vinodh , Seshu and Rajasimhan.

The shoot for the film began in 2021, and the first-look teaser was launched in September. SJ Suryah plays an unemployed man, who hides the fact that he is jobless from everyonne, including his wife. Going by the trailer, SJ Suryah's character is suffering from stupor in the film. 

SJ Suryah had earlier tweeted at the beginning of the shoot, ""My next movie “ KADAMAIYAI SEI “ shooting spot clicks... thx to my friend legendary dir @selvaraghavan sir , Thalaiva producer Sunil jain sir & Ceo of stone bench producer karthik sir .... thx for Ur wishes and presence (sic)." 

Venkat Raghavan made his directorial debut with Muthina Kathirikai (2016), that starred Sundar C and Poonam Bajwa in the lead. The film was the remake of Malayalam film Vellimoonga (2014,), a political satire starring Biju Menon, Asif Ali and Nikki Galrani in the lead, and was directed by Jibu Jacob. Though Vellimoonga became a success at the box office, Muthina Kathirikai did not really strike a chord with the audiences.

SJ Suryah, in the meantime, is awaiting the release of Don, in which plays an antagonist. The film has Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan in the lead.
