The title song of SJ Suryah and Yashika Aannand's upcoming film Kadamayai Sei was released today by Anirudh Ravichander. The song is sung by Gaana Bala (with additional vocals by Kavya, Mayank Kapri and Shaz) and the lyrics have been penned by Arun Bharathi. Taking to his social media page, Anirudh released the song and wished the team of Kadamayai Sei. He wrote, "I am happy to unveil @iam_SJSuryah's #KadamaiyaiSei Video Song. Looks great and best wishes for a super hit .. https://youtu.be/hEJ79-2bklI @Venkatt_Ragavan @iamyashikaanand @arunrajmusic @srikanth_nb @vinothrsamy @Arunbharathioff @vasymusicoffl @ProBhuvan @CtcMediaboy (sic)."

SJ Suryah replied to Anirudh saying, "Thx a lot ROCK STAR @anirudhofficial sir 馃グ馃グ馃グ馃グ馃檹馃檹馃檹馃檹for releasing this #KadamaiyaiSei video song for Me https://youtu.be/hEJ79-2bklI (sic)." The film is directed by Venkatt Raghavan, who had earlier directed Muthina Kathirikai starring Sundar C and Poonam Bajwa. SJ Suryah plays an unemployed man in Kadamayai Sei, who hides the fact that he is jobless. He then later takes up a job as a security personnel at an apartment. His character also suffers from stupor (an excessively deep state of unresponsiveness) in the film.

The trailer for the film was released by Silambarasan TR. Silambarasan TR wrote on his social media page, "Happy to Release the trailer of #KADAMAIYAISEI produced by TR Ramesh & S Zahir hussain Time to see @iam_SJSuryah's unseen performance in #KadamaiyaiSei Happy to see @iamyashikaanand in a new dimension Best wishes to d director @Venkatt_Ragavan & team (sic)."

Venkat Raghavan's previous outing Muthina Kathirikai was a remake of the Malayalam hit Vellimoonga (2014), a political satire starring Biju Menon, Asif Ali and Nikki Galrani. The film was directed by Jibu Jacob. The Tamil version failed to create ripples at the box office. SJ Suryah, in the meantime, is riding on the success of his previous ventures Maanaadu with Silambarasan TR and his recent release with Sivakarthikeyan, Don.
