SK 25: Sivakarthikeyan’s film with Sudha Kongara launched; to feature Jayam Ravi and Atharvaa

The much-awaited launch of SK 25 starring actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, took place on Saturday, December 14. The hoardings present at the ceremony confirmed that the film will also star actors Jayam Ravi and Atharvaa, under Sudha Kongara's directorial.

Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in Amaran, is gearing up for his next with director Sudha Kongara. Tentatively called SK 25, the film is bankrolled by Dawn Pictures banner which is producing Dhanush’s Idly Kadai.

SK 25 will feature Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, marking his first collaboration with director Sudha Kongara. Besides the Amaran actor, the film also stars actors Jayam Ravi and Atharvaa in prominent roles. Aakash Baskaran is producing the film which will mark Dawn Pictures' sophomore project after Idly Kadai.

As per reports, SK 25 is the same script that Sudha Kongara had first announced with actor Suriya. However, due to scheduling conflicts, the actor had to drop out. The director is now going ahead with Sivakarthikeyan and Jayam Ravi is said to play the antagonist. Reportedly, Sreeleela will be playing the female lead, marking her Tamil debut. SK 25 will have music by GV Prakash Kumar and camera cranked by Ravi Chandran. It is to be noted that SK 25 will mark Sivakarthikeyan’s second collaboration with GV Prakash Kumar after Amaran.

Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran on OTT

Sivakarthikeyan's Tamil film Amaran is currently streaming on Netflix. A biopic of late Major Mukund Varadarajan, Amaran also stars Sai Pallavi and has music by GV Prakash Kumar. Amaran opened to a positive reception upon its release. The film is backed by Kamal Haasan and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan also has a film with AR Murugadoss under production. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
