Ram Pothineni, who’s currently working on the sequel to iSmart Shankar titled Double iSmart, is also awaiting the release of his action entertainer Skanda, his first collaboration with Akhanda filmmaker Boyapati Sreenu. The first pan-Indian film in the career of Ram, Skanda, which will be out in five languages, features Sreeleela as the female lead. The film will hit screens worldwide on September 15.

Srinivasaa Chitturi is bankrolling the film under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Given Skanda is only a month away from its release, the makers are amping up the promotional campaign to generate necessary buzz for the film across multiple markets. S Thaman is scoring the music. While Skanda’s first single Nee Chuttu Chuttu was a smash hit, the second song Gandarabai was launched today.

If Nee Chuttu Chuttu was a hep party number with a western orchestration, Gandarabai is catered to the masses. Nakash Aziz, popular for his intro numbers in Telugu cinema and Telugu Indian Idol 2 fame Soujanya Bhagavathula have crooned for the track which has lyrics by Ananth Sriram and is terrifically choreographed by Prem Rakshith.

‘Gantakotti Seppuko…Gantakotti Seppuko..Gantalo Vasthane Gandara Gandarabai..Gajjakatti Seppuko..Gaajuletti Seppuko..Gaalivaana Testhane Gandara Gandarabai,’ the catchy number, which has a solid musical hook, commences on a boisterous note. Ram and Sreeleela get ample scope to showcase their brilliance on the dance floor in this well-shot track.
