Sky Force box office collection day 10: The last 10 days have been nothing less than a cakewalk for Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya starrer Sky Force that released at the right point and managed to tap into the right zones for audiences to venture out of their homes and buy that ticket. The aerial patriotic drama is one of the most successful Akshay Kumar movies in a long while and it ended his two-year drought that he was suffering with, only dud movies and now redemption in sight. Turns out the movie has now managed to cross the ₹100 crore milestone at the domestic box office, and that indeed means the film is not much shaken by tough competition standing right next to it at the big screen with Deva.
There has been much buzz about how Sky Force might not have the same momentum once Deva lands on the big screen on January 31, 2025, and how the Kumar starrer will then have to show some magic. Well, it looks like the audience is still very much deviating towards the Veer Pahariya starrer and that the word of mouth and all that campaigning is working. As per the reports from Sacnilk, the movie has now earned ₹100.07 crores, and it is looking at a positive trend. Read on to know everything you should about the same.
The film, on day 10 of its release, has managed to pull off a collection of ₹5.57 crores mainly from the Hindi regions. Talking of worldwide, the total collection of Sky Force stands at ₹122.25 crore, and the India gross collections stand at ₹112.75 crores. The overseas collection of the movie is ₹9.5 crore. Sky Force enjoyed an overall 25.84 percent Hindi occupancy on Sunday. The breakdown says that the morning shows were at 10.98 percent, afternoon shows at 29.62 percent, evening shows at 40.53 percent, and night shows at 22.22 percent.
It is indeed interesting to see how well Sky Force has performed even when the movie had some competition with Emergency and Azaad still on the big screen. It managed to make way for itself and fade the two releases even when both of them had big stars involved. Turns out the movie, by the end of week one, which is today, has managed to earn a sum that is not just big but is the second-highest collection in Akshay Kumar’s post-pandemic filmography.
On day 7 (first Thursday), it minted ₹5.50 crores, which took the overall collections of the movie to ₹86.50 crores, as per Sacnilk. With this, Sky Force has indeed become the second-highest-earning Akshay Kumar movie after the world returned to normalcy post the pandemic. The first is, of course, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. It will be interesting to see what new records the movie manages to make.
Sky Force released on January 24, 2025. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
