Much to the joy of fans, the second trailer of the hugely anticipated film Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins was released by the makers earlier this week. Loaded with intense action sequences, the protagonist, Henry Golding is seen sporting the famous black helmet, transforming into a ninja assassin.

The second trailer has catchy visuals and is certainly power-packed than the first. Starting with a cage fight featuring Henry, the trailer transports us to the location where the hero trains to become a ninja warrior. Furthermore, the character is seen struggling to get past the ‘three challenges of the warrior’ and finally slipping on the black helmet.

In an early interview with Movieweb, Henry talked about his film and said, “I think the heart of the story really is who Snake is and his journey as a person, really. Understanding his motivations... I can't give away too much, but it really focuses on one person instead of having 20 people on screen and understanding the background. We start from the beginning. And, hopefully, this launches an amazing franchise.”

“What fans can kind of expect from Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is the origin of Snake Eyes. You see his weaknesses, you see his faults, you see him trying to make amends for decisions that perhaps weren't as savoury as you would imagine. You see a bond between brothers, you see the thrill of creating a team and defeating the hurdles in front of you. And you get to really see some damn cool fight scenes, which trained and got our asses kicked for, and they were phenomenal,” the actor added.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins also comprises Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, Haruka Abe and Takehiro Hira in its lead cast and has been scheduled for a theatrical release on July 23. Henry Golding is popular for his appearance in the 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians opposite Constance Wu with Gemma Chan, Lisa Lu, Awkwafina, Ken Jeong and Michelle Yeoh. The romantic comedy-drama film can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
