When the makers of KGF: Chapter 2 were set to begin promotions ahead of its theatrical release, they’d conducted a social media poll to determine what fans wanted to see first. Although a single was one of the options, the trailer was the clear favourite. Shortly after came an announcement about the trailer release, which, at the time, was a good three weeks away, which led to a lot of disappointment. But then, as if the makers read the minds of die-hard fans, they decided to release a single before the trailer after all.

The visuals of the song, of course, are about Rocky Bhai’s rise in KGF and why he was considered the saviour of the erstwhile slaves at the mine. Produced by Hombale Films and directed by Prashant Neel, KGF: Chapter 2 released in theatres on April 14 and has, since then, broken a lot of box office records along the way, in all the languages that the film released in. Starring Yash in the lead, the film also had Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, BS Avinash, Prakash Raj, among others on board the cast.
