Sobhita Dhulipala feels fortunate to have played ‘complicated yet empathetic characters onscreen’

Sobhita Dhulipala has mesmerised fans with her powerful performance in shows like Made in Heaven 2 and The Night Manager this year. At OTTplay Awards 2023, Sobhita Dhulipala was honoured with the ‘Best Actor Female – Series (Editor’s Choice)’. Marking this achievement, the actress said that she has had the fortune of playing female parts that are complicated yet empathetic.

While receiving ‘Best Actor Female – Series (Editor’s Choice)’ award for The Night Manager and Made in Heaven Season 2, Sobhita said that she has had the fortune of working with some wonderful collaborators, filmmakers who have written female parts that are complicated yet empathetic parts that may or may not be liked but somehow were understood.

She went on to say that she has had a few releases in the past few months and there is a certain diversity in those parts and looking back it makes her feel very inspired, very motivated and nourished that she has had a run like this, and this encouragement and this support means a lot.

Sobhita in Made in Heaven 2 and The Night Manager

In Made in Heaven, Sobhita plays the role of Tara, a wedding planner in Delhi who navigates her way into the scheming politics of South Delhi society. She also starred in The Night Manager, an adaptation of British hit series of the same name. Sobhita plays the role of Kaveri Dixit, who is Shailendra 'Shelly' Rungta’s (Anil Kapoor) girlfriend.
