After a brief gap, the Hrudaya Kaleyam find Sampoornesh Babu returned to action with the political comedy Martin Luther King on October 27, the Telugu remake of the Tamil OTT hit Mandela, starring Yogi Babu (out on Netflix). Despite earning decent reviews, the film, directed by Puja Kolluru, couldn’t put up a great show at the box office and is expected to arrive on streamers shortly.

Sampoornesh, meanwhile, has another film lined up for release. He is joining hands with upcoming actor Sanjosh for a ‘bromantic’ story titled Sodhara. The makers of the film commenced their promotional campaign recently with the launch of the motion poster and new stills. The first look was unveiled by noted producer Vivek Kuchibhotla (of People Media Factory) in the presence of the cast and crew.

In the first look of Sodhara, Sampoornesh Babu and Sanjosh, who play brothers in the film, are dressed in traditional costumes as bridegrooms. While Sanjosh has held a rose in his mouth, Sampoornesh has a managalasutram. The poster background with motifs of classical instruments indicates they’re all set to be married. The colourful poster with an element of mischief grabs your attention instantly.

Man Mohan Menampalli has written the story and is directing the film. Prachi Bansal and Aarti Gupta play the female leads in the fun entertainer bankrolled by Chandra Chaganla under Cans Entertainments and Monk Films. The makers say Sodhara promises to look at the bond between two brothers in a different light. The team paid a tribute to several star siblings through the recently unveiled motion poster as well.

Sunil Kashyap scores the music for Sodhara. The first single of the film will be out soon. Aditya Music has acquired the audio rights of the film. The lyricists include Suddala Ashok Teja and Purna Chary. Baba Bhaskar, Getup Srinu and Babu Mohan are also part of the cast. Jaan is the cinematographer while Shiva Sarvani is the editor. Updates about the teaser, trailer, release date will be out in the coming weeks.
