Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu, much like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, face kids’ paparazzi culture thanks to Inaaya. Like Taimur, Inaaya too is papped almost everywhere she goes. The couple shared their point of view when they came on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s show, What Women Want. They both agreed that it is unfair to the kids, and Kunal spoke about paps, while generally being respectful, also crossing the line at times. This happened when somebody clicked a photo of Taimur and Inaaya in the swimming pool. The picture came as an unwelcomed surprise.

Kunal feels paparazzi culture is unfair to the next generation

When asked about paps culture, Kunal said that there are times when he wouldn't think much about it but there are also times when he is bothered. He spoke about Taimur bringing the baby paps culture. “Usse ek saal pehle hi hum bhi used to ho rahe the,” Kunal said, then recalling how the whole family was surprised when they were clicked after having dinner at a restaurant. Kunal felt that while the elders understand what is happening, the babies are still trying to understand it. He feels it is unfair to the next generation because they are born in the world where this culture is normalized. The actor is scared about their children’s friends not being able to handle stardom (because they are not star kids). “I don't know the psychological effect it might have on them,” Kunal said.

The Madgaon Express director is not even sure how will the discussion go if Inaaya ever raises the topic. He does not want his child to get scared by hiding them when the paps click them. He is also grateful for some paps who respect the decision of the parents and when said, they do not click the baby pictures. He recalled when the time when Tim and Inaya went swimming and somebody clicked the photo with zoom lens. He called it ‘dangerous’ and something he’s “completely against.” He said that a parent needs to be aware if something like that is happening to his child.

Soha’s views

Soha, on the other hand, while calling Taimur’s case extreme, says it is still worrying with Inaaya just as much. The actress feels that the paparazzi culture will take away the innocence of the star kids. She, a star kid herself, remembered how her childhood was rather private. “You're entitled to that,” she added. Soha feels that children in school don't want to stand out but belong, adding that if people think the other person is different, they are kept at an arm’s length.
