Sonakshi Sinha graced the prestigious OTTplay Awards 2023 ceremony in an all-black avatar and bagged ‘Best Actor Female - Series (Popular Choice)’ award for her performance in Dahaad. In a candid conversation with the hosts of the show, Neha Dhupia and Aparshakti Khurana, Sonakshi playfully handed out ‘awarda’ to her industry colleagues based on their individualistic traits.

When asked to hand out the ‘award’ for having too much self-confidence, the actress humorously replied, “My dad. Khamosh!’ She was then asked to give an ‘award’ for aging backwards, to which Sonakshi pointed towards actor Anil Kapoor in the audience and said that, in fact, there are two people to whom she would like to hand out this award – Anil Kapoor and Raveena Tandon. Sonakshi further revealed that when she entered the event her immediate reaction was, “Bas karo yaar. Stop it.”
Dahaad Season 2 coming soon?
Sonakshi won the ‘Best Actor Female - Series (Popular Choice)’ award at the OTTplay Awards 2023 for playing Anjali Bhati in Dahaad, a police procedural crime thriller web series. She played a sub-inspector in Rajasthan, who is on a mission to hunt down a serial killer. Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, Dahaad also stars Vijay Varma and Gulshan Devaiah. The series is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The makers of the series recently confirmed that Dahaad will be back with Season 2 and that Reema has a script that she is currently working on.
