Sonakshi Sinha, whose OTT debut with Dahaad is imminent, took up riding in preparation for the series. The actor claims that riding has become her newfound hobby and that she regularly goes for rides at night.

Sonakshi's portrayal of a supercop was spot-on. The actor, so the story goes, picked up the skill of cycling during filming and quickly became proficient. Her commitment to the part was so great that she even impressed the director, Reema Kagti, by riding the bike better than her body double on set.

The Dabangg star told IANS that she thinks she was born to do this role; as actors, they all want to do something beyond their limits, and this role demanded the same from her. The candid and outspoken actor spoke of her decision to play a biker. Riding the bike was one of the many preparations she went through for the part, and it was a blast.

After filming wrapped, Sonakshi bought herself a bike as a present and has made riding a regular part of her life, even hosting bike nights with her pals. Once she learned how to ride, there was no turning back; she got obsessed with it, and she continued to ride long after filming wrapped. She continued that even now, she frequently goes out for night rides, much to her mother's chagrin, but she loves every minute of it.

Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar wrote and produced the series Dahaad, and both Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi serve as directors. The series also features Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah in pivotal roles. Dahaad marks the OTT debut of Sonakshi, and the actor has donned the role of a cop effortlessly, while Vijay plays the main antagonist of the series.

On May 12, Amazon Prime Video debuted the new series.
