Sonamoni Saha and Honey Bafna pair up for their new serial, Shubho Bibaho

In the Star Jalsha serial Ekka Dokka, Sonamoni Saha paired up with Saptarshi Moulik. Now, she is all set to be back in another serial, Shubha Bibaho. Here, she pairs up with Honey Bafna. The promo was released on Wednesday.

The promo shows that Shonamoni plays the character of a divorcee and belongs to a humble household. The search for a suitable groom for her is full on. But as soon as the potential groom and his family hear that Sudha is a divorcee, they back off. Despite her family pressure, she refuses to hide the fact that she is a divorce.

Meanwhile, we also see a glimpse of an aristocratic family with Kanan Devi (Saswati Guhathakurta) as the matriarch turns down Sonamoni as a bride for her grandson Tej (Honey). She categorically demands an ‘innocent, untouched and pristine’ woman instead of a divorcee for her grandson.

However, Sudha (Sonamoni) works in a company and is in charge of decorating weddings and other events. At such a wedding reception, Sudha meets Tej. She slips from a height and Tej catches her in a most cinematic move. So, will a new love story start amid so many obstacles?

Sonamoni Saha is a divorcee in her personal life as well. She was once married to choreographer Subrata Roy in 2018 when she was only 18. They separated within three years of their marriage. Sonamoni does not want to get involved in any relationship right now. Like her character, she says, “You make the mistake only once.” Career is her main focus right now. Shubho Bibaho will stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
