Sony Liv’s ‘Chutzpah’ to witness a Fukrey reunion, Watch teaser

Already being hailed as a new concept, with its cryptic graphics, Chutzpah’s teaser has received positive fan reactions upon its release. The new web series, which will be airing on SonyLiv, dropped a teaser trailer on their YouTube channel on June 19. Starring Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Elnaaz Norouzi, Tanya Maniktala (A Suitable Boy fame), Gautam Mehra, Kshitij Chauhan, Diksha Singh and Varun Tewari, the teaser seems quite intriguing.

The show has been created by Mrighdeep Singh, who directed Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh in his popular film, Fukrey and Fukrey Returns. It will mark Varun’s debut into the world of web series. 

The Simarpreet Singh directorial promises to be a huge entertainer as it traverses the relatable world of the internet, connecting five individuals through nothing but the web and exploring the effect of digital media on today’s youth along with the power of social media. 

Talking about the show, according to IANS, actor Varun Sharma said, "Bhai yeh Chutzpah kya hai? I am sure everyone wants an answer to this question, just like how I did when I heard the script for the first time. This show will take the audience on a quirky and relatable journey through the world of the internet, social media, gaming and lots more. I couldn’t have asked for a better team than my buddy Manjot Singh as my co-star and of course our director Simarpreet Singh, creator Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and producer Dinesh Vijan. Together we have created a power-packed entertainer with lots of thrills and laughter. I cannot wait for the audience to watch the show soon, on Sony LIV."

Manjot Singh was recorded saying by the publication, "SonyLIV is like my second home now. A quirky story that is all things internet, narrates the journeys which are relatable and unique in their offerings. This show reunites me with my gang – Mrighdeep, Simarpreet and co-actor Varun once again. No release date has been set yet but we are definitely looking forward to it.
