Sony’s star-studded weekend

In a new promo jointly shared by Sony TV and Sony LIV, the makers have announced a special Galaxy of Stars in which actors like Akshay Kumar, Poonam Dhillon, Shilpa Shetty, Padmini Kolhapuri, and more Bollywood celebrities will be gracing the stage of several reality shows like Indian Idol 16, MasterChef season 9, Wheel of Fortune, and many others. As we step into 2026, the streaming platform brings a mix of stars to take the center stage this January.

Reality show bonanza

From Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jaadu ka chakkar’ or Wheel of Fortune to Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah’s Indian Idol 16, the upcoming weekend is jam-packed with top appearances. In the promo, Shilpa Shetty is all set to offer an energetic performance as she says, “Puri energy wapas aa gayi” (entire energy has come back). The special guests this weekend on the Indian Idol set include the veteran actresses Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapuri. India’s Got Talent season 11 will also offer lots of entertainment as raw talent meets the right stage.

Meanwhile, MasterChef season 9 will bring the culinary experts back to the judging panel. The upcoming installment will replace KBC’s time slot as it gears up to release on January 5 at 9 pm on both Sony TV and Sony LIV (OTTplay Premium).
