Director Rama Raju, known for his intense relationship dramas like Mallela Theeramlo Sirimalle Puvvu, Oka Manasu, is making a comeback with another romance titled Priyuraalu. The film starring Prithvi Medavaram, Kaushik Reddy, Kalapala Mounika, Dr Sai Kamakshi Bhaskarla in lead roles is all to skip its theatrical release and premiere directly on SonyLIV on September 17. Sri Sowmya has written the story of Priyuraalu, while Rama Raju has produced the film in collaboration with Ajay Karlapudi. The film's trailer was launched on Friday.

The trailer is raw, honest and appealing to an extent, but lacks the sophistication one witnessed in Rama Raju's earlier films. The film traces the highs and lows in the relationship of two couples. In the first case, the girl and the boy are strangers but experience a strange connection when they're together. In the other case, the man only lusts after the woman and feels it's best to take their relationship forward without marriage. There's talk around extramarital affairs, love, lust and that some relationships don't come with labels.

The new faces fit into their roles quite well and Mahi P Reddy's cinematography stands out, to say the least. Varsha, Krishnam Raju, Jogi Naidu, Sravya Duvvuri play supporting roles in Priyuraalu. The film has music by Sunil Kashyap and is edited by Sai Revanth. Ganga Raju, Krishna Bhat and Vishwanath Raju have co-produced the film. Sirasri, Ramajogaiah Sastry, Sri Valli and Purna Chary have penned the lyrics. This is SonyLIV's second major Telugu OTT release, weeks after Satya Akkala's Vivaha Bhojanambu.
