Sooryavanshi: Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif-led action film releases on Netflix

Fans can now catch the thrill of Sooryavanshi from the comfort of their homes. The high octane action thriller is now available to stream on Netflix.

The Rohit Shetty helmed film was released in theatres on November 5. Netflix had bagged the rights to the film earlier. Although it was speculated that the film would drop on the platform on December 4 or 5, it started streaming today.

The film is a part of the filmmaker’s popular cop universe, which includes the films Singham and Simmba. At the end of Simmba, the character of Sooyavanshi was introduced, continuing the saga. The universe features four films, all directed by Shetty.

Akshay Kumar stars as the titular hero Veer Sooryavanshi who is the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad. He is tasked with stopping a deadly terror attack in Mumbai. But he is not alone as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao(Ranveer Singh) and DCP Bajirao Singham(Ajay Devgn) aid him in his noble venture. The latter two are the protagonists of Simmba and Singham respectively and appear in extended cameos in the film.

Katrina Kaif stars as the female lead and the film also features Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Vivan Bhatena, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer and Jaaved Jaaferi in supporting roles.

Sooryavanshi is produced under the banners of Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.
