Fans in despair at not being able to catch Sooryavanshi in theatres fret not. The high-octane crime thriller will soon make its way to the digital platform, where viewers can enjoy all the action from the comfort of their homes.
When and where can Sooryavanshi be watched on OTT?
Sooryavanshi was released in theatres on November 5, 2021. Streaming giant Netflix has bagged the rights to the film. The film will be available for streaming on Netflix from December 3 onwards, almost a month after its theatrical release.
Who are the stars in Sooryavanshi?
Sooryavanshi stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif as the two main leads. Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Vivan Bhatena, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer and Jaaved Jaaferi appear in supporting roles. The film also features Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh reprising their roles as their characters from Singham and Simmba in extended cameos.
What is Sooryavanshi about?
Sooryavanshi tells the story of the daring chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, the titular DCP Veer Sooryavanshi (Kumar), who tries to thwart the attempts of a deadly terrorist group in Mumbai. He is joined on his crusade by Inspector Sangram Bhalerao (Singh) and DCP Bajirao Singham (Devgn).
The Rohit Shetty directorial is a part of the director’s Cop Universe, which includes the films Singham and Simmba, which starred Devgn and Singh respectively. All four films in the franchise have been directed by Shetty.
Kumar’s Sooryavanshi character was introduced at the end of the third film, Simmba.
The film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.
