Soubin Shahir and Hareesh Kanaran are to appear in an upcoming movie helmed by debutant Bijoy Joseph. The yet-to-be-titled movie will also be Hareesh’s production debut. If the reports are to be believed, the actors will be appearing in the lead roles in the movie.

Hareesh is best known for movies like Sapthamashree Thaskaraha, Kunjiramayanam, King Liar, and Salt Mango Tree. The actor also has an iconic comic character named Jaliyan Kanaran in his kitty, who first appeared on Comedy Festival, a television reality show.

Meanwhile, Soubin is a popular name in contemporary Malayalam cinema. The actor has proved many times that he can handle both comedy and character roles perfectly. Soubin was last seen in the Mohanlal starrer Bro Daddy and will be next seen in movies like Bheeshma Parvam, Kallan D’Souza, and Jack and Jill.

The story is penned by Bijoy while it is scripted by Paul Varghese, along with the dialogues. The debutant director is already experienced as he has worked with directors including Mahesh Narayanan, V K Prakash, and Jose Sebastian.

Reports suggest that the movie is set against the backdrop of a village. The storyline is to be centred around a government employee’s life and his comic and heartwarming experiences. The cast also includes actors like Aju Varghese, Salim Kumar, Johny Antony, Idavela Babu, and Nirmal Palazhi.

Hareesh co-produces the movie with former production manager John Kudiyamala, who has worked on movies like Pazhassi Raja, 10 Kalpanakal, and Vargam. Aby Salvin is on board for music, while B K Harinarayanan is the lyricist. The camera will be handled by Manoj Pillai, and Noufal Abdullah will handle the editing section.
